Black magick

All magic when used is manipulation on some level and thus could be considered “black magic”. Any time you use it to alter something especially.

It's changing the natural course of things. A magician needs to be very conciliatory about this ... luckily, it's not like the movies and some things can only be pushed, pulled, bent so far without pushing back ... other entities and forces out there make sure things flow a certain way ... a magician pushes too hard one way, a certain way and they will experience the pains of the universe correcting itself.

BTW, I looked for forum for chapter 1 but did not find anything, im still trying to navigate and figure this site out.

Hello Sauvis Dea,

as I can see, you have meanwhile figured it out where to post your contribution to the first course lesson. (This link works for those who are logged into our Qabbalah online course and have access to the first lesson.)

Therefore I will move this posting to the archive, Please refrain from further cross-posting.

Hi Sauvis Dea,

I'm not sure where you got the idea that all magic is Black magic because it is used to manipulate the "natural order of things." There definitely is more to it than that, for then it would get into discussions about the nature of good and evil. This is just based on my own opinion, but I believe the "intention" behind the action being taken has something to do with it, whether or not your intention is for "good" or for "evil." I think I wrote somewhere else, that good means doing no harm, and bad means intending to harm another. Beyond that, at this point, I cannot say, but I am looking forward as to what BOEL has to say about it in the lessons. Since I believe that we humans were created in God's image, that naturally makes us "co-creators" with God, and that can mean changing your world by changing your thinking, if it harms no one else, and to make our world a better place.
