Salomo Baal-Shem has been studying and practicing the Western Mystery Tradition for over twenty years. He is an Initiate and Adept of the Western Mystery Tradition, a personal student of Dolores Ashcroft-Nowicki and he is the Grandmaster of the Brotherhood of the Eternal Light. He was introduced to the spiritual lore of Judaism, the tradition of his ancestors, by his own father. He has studied Philosophy and Judaism specialising in the Qabbalah and Hermetic philosophy. He is considered by many experts to be one of the world's leading authorities on the practical Qabbalah and the Western Mystery Tradition. He is the author of Qabbalistic Magic: Talismans, Psalms, Amulets, and the Practice of High Ritual and has published articles in "The Magical Use of Thought Forms" by Dolores Ashcroft-Nowicki and in "Illuminations" by Dolores Ashcroft-Nowicki.
This training outlines the objective 13 stages or 13 keys or 13 degrees of the lesser Mysteries to become an initiate of the Greater Mysteries. This process can be taken under ideal circumstances in about seven years, but may last longer under less than ideal circumstances.
One stage will be offered every six months. This includes the introduction and a meditation session.
Thus, the course contains a description of the degrees or stages based on the Tree of Life, ranging from ordinary human beings to initiates, and then follows a meditative attunement into each degree or stage.
This means that the fully dedicated student under ideal circumstances may take the training and achieve each degree within the time frame it is offered. Certification of any degree is only possible for BOEL members. Application for membership will be available to dedicated students. No guarantees for certification are given. Any degree is only awarded to the student who has fully achieved all the necessary requirements. Please understand that tradition has it that it takes three lifetimes to become an initiate. While we do not take that literally, it indicates that it cannot be expected that anybody but the most dedicated students succeed on this journey.
Students with previous experience in this or in a previous lifetime may undergo the process at a faster pace. But there is no shortcut for participants who have been awarded degrees in other systems. The judge of that will be the quality of the work of that student. Everybody has to fulfill the same criteria.
Initiation into the Greater Mysteries is the essence of Mystery training and the final Great Initiation (the Lesser Divine Union) is the ultimate goal of the spiritual path.
