Greetings, Seekers of Truth and Magic
Don't know why I skipped doing this introduction, but I have been a member maybe 5 or 6 weeks now, and I am really enjoying this course, even though I know I may not live long enough to reach my highest goals. Then figuring out this website, and how the forums work, where to go after you've completed the Introduction, all worthy means of testing oneself, of your determination to do the necessary work. So who is this Doramage?
Okay, I'm a little old to be beginning such a great undertaking, but I am in no way new to the occult, or to magic, although I am questioning the methods in which I was trained. I began my occult studies at age 16 when I discovered a book on Yoga (by Ernest Wood) in a local drug store, but that book introduced me to the concept of Reincarnation and Karma in its quotes from Patanjali, a Hindu sage. That fascinated me, although I had just been confirmed in my mother's religion of Lutherism two years prior to that. Perhaps that is what caused me to start questioning my childhood religion, although, I found in my later occult studies, I kept being led back to Christianity, but a new interpretation, as presented in the Edgar Cayce teachings. At any rate, I first became interested in yoga, meditation, and even took a course on Eastern Religions in college, but the teachings of Mdm. Blavatsky, and the Rosicrucianism of Max Heindel were my first serious undertakings. I also found a sort of occult Church called Astara, but none of these taught me how to use my psychic gifts, which I fervently desired.
In all my years, I have never stopped seeking for Truth and Wisdom, hoping I would make some contact with a true Spiritual Teacher and gain some kind of inner experience that would prove to me once and for all, what the real Truth of our existence is. My big breakthrough for this goal came when I joined an astrology class and was encouraged to have a psychic reading. This psychic lady gave me four past life times, two of which were in the fabled land of Atlantis, but the important thing was she encouraged me to start reading the Cayce material and begin meditating seriously. I did this, but after another 20 years, still had no inner experiences, excepting for seeing a beautiful blue light while I meditated.
So finally, at age 50, after I met and married my present husband, and learned that he had also been my mate at the sinking of Atlantis, and I had been a magician, though I didn't learn this until five years ago, when he had a series of dreams of our past lives together. In the meantime, I had been attending workshops at the Monroe Institute, really excited about learning out-of-body travel, but had no success until in 2007, I had my first experiences, after my last trip to the Monroe Institute, then began having lucid dreams, off and on, but no more out of body travels, at least from a conscious state.
Ultimately, I decided to find out if Magic was real, and discovered a Golden Dawn Temple I became a member of. Their initiations are sort of different from those here, in that you become eligible for each initiation after 6 months, but I have a feeling, that in this Order, you will be much more prepared for when your psychic abilities pop online, and you discover your guides. However my first years were wonderful, my guides were totally human, or maybe angelic in human form, and just showed up during my little trips into the Astral plane. But things started going wrong after that, my Temple closed down for reasons I didn't even know, and demonic beings began attacking me, whenever I did my rituals, and no one from the Temple were available to help me. Sadly I had to quit practicing, but I did eventually learn how to protect myself magically, by use of Christ Light and the Violet Flame,
So, hoping to at least figure out what I had done wrong, or if anything I had been taught was wrong, I signed up for this free course. Certainly, you need to be in good health, younger than I and wealthy enough to attend these workshops to be invited in here. I understand now, at least, that Magic is not just something to be played around with, not for just gaining personal powers, though I can tell you, my astral experiences the first two years, proved beyond a doubt to me, that the astral world is real, and accessible to those whose reasons are pure, who truly are seeking higher spiritual realms, your connection to the Source of all Being, and being of service to those around you, and to your magical order, and the Prime Creator. As long as I can, I will continue to strive for these goals.
